Child Find Notice

Every school district follows a comprehensive process to assess and support students who may be at risk of academic failure. Child Find is an ongoing effort that includes public awareness, screenings, and evaluations to identify children with disabilities who may need services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

To qualify for Special Education services, a child must meet the eligibility requirements outlined in IDEA. Parents who would like more information about this process can contact their school’s principal or visit the Ohio Department of Education Workforce at https://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Special-Education.
