Our Philosophy

Our philosophy at Richard Allen Schools is premised on the conviction that the only children who fail to learn are those who learn to fail. Students are taught that failure is an unacceptable choice; they can and must succeed. Students are educated to read, write, compute, and think critically in order to make informed decisions and prepare for the future.

At Richard Allen Schools we are committed to helping students develop beliefs that will last a lifetime. We do not teach a single philosophy; rather, we expose our students to a variety of concepts and theories and teach them to use their own minds to analyze evidence logically so as to reach their own conclusions. Our faculty members understand that one of their primary responsibilities is to help students believe in themselves. This is accomplished by creating and communicating a positive attitude about students. They are special. A positive classroom environment creates an atmosphere that encourages and causes students to learn. Richard Allen Schools offer enriching and dynamic educational experiences designed to help students reach their full potential.

Parent involvement in the academic growth of their students and in school activities is essential. We invite, encourage, and expect family support and participation in the education of the children entrusted to the care of Richard Allen Schools. A strong home-school partnership is the basis for successful learning.
